Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII)

The RtII (Response to Instruction & Intervention) is a process which includes the provision of systematic, research-based instruction and interventions to struggling learners. It assumes that the instruction/interventions are matched to student needs and that monitoring of progress is continuous. Furthermore, RtII is designed as an early intervention to address specific needs related to learning.

The RtII process may be initiated by parents, teachers, or administration. For any questions about our RtII team or process, please call Mrs. Fran Ressler, Supervisor of Special Education, at (814)446-5615 ext. 3373.
